Reporting Units
The Citizenship and Service Education (CASE) program provides service learning opportunities for students in a variety of non-profit organizations. By devoting 40 hours of service per semester in exchange for one credit, students apply their learning from academic coursework at educational, healthcare, public policy, governmental, agricultural, and social service settings. Community members benefit from the creativity, energy, and skills of our students while students have the opportunity to put their learning into action to better our communities. As part of the university’s transformation of undergraduate education at the New Brunswick/ Piscataway campus, the CASE program is in the process of being restructured through the work of the Faculty Service Learning Committee. Information on the current CASE program can be found at: www.case.rutgers.edu. top Institute for Women and Art Established in 2006 through a grant from Rutgers’ Academic Excellence Fund, the Institute for Women and Art unites teaching faculty, scholars, curators, researchers and artists to promote dialogue and interdisciplinary projects devoted to the study of women and art. The Institute is co-directed by Judith Brodsky, professor emerita and founder of the acclaimed Brodsky Center for Print and Paper and Ferris Olin, head of the Margery Somers Foster Center, Rutgers University Libraries. The Institute oversees the Feminist Art Project, a national initiative to recognize the intellectual and aesthetic contributions of women on visual art and culture. Judith Brodsky and Dr. Ferris Olin also co-direct the Women Artists Archives National Directory (WAAND) at Rutgers University as part of their work with the Institute for Women and Art. IWA is a reporting unit of the Office for Academic and Public Partnerships in the Arts and Humanities. top |
